ThinkMarkets are looking for an experienced Trading Platform Administrator to provide day to day oversight to the Middle Office Operations department.

In this role, you will take a lead on providing a first-class technical across all our trading platforms. You will monitor the running of systems and servers and work on improvement projects, assisting developers and following up on root cause issues. You will be a central point of contact between the business, technical and management teams. You will always ensure open lines of communication, especially during high profile activities and incident management.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Take ownership of operations across all our trading platforms, ensuring smooth running of trading system servers and services;
  • Act as the main point of contact for operational and system issues, logging and escalating issues with relevant teams across the global business;
  • Handle new eFX/FIX API clients’ through their integration journey;
  • Responsible for platform development, including adding and configuring new markets to the product offering;
  • Handle clients’ technical issues related to the platform usage;
  • Handle trade/price disputes and liaise with the LPs where needed;
  • Provide 2nd line support services for client services and account management teams;
  • Continually review and analyze the Client Journey and suggests ways to improve in order to provide a First-Class Service to Institutional and Retail clients; 
  • Assess and analyze customer related statistics and data, review patterns and trends;
  • Plan and conduct training on systems and procedures to maintain quality standards;
  • Conduct tests on systems: bug finding, documenting issues, full UAT analysis;
  • Provide weekly & monthly MI reports and presentations;
  • Manage project priorities and provide regular progress updates on project status; 
  • Monitoring system servers and ensure appropriate monitoring is in place.

KPIs:

Your KPIs will be as follows:

  • Platform downtime;
  • Misconfigured markets;
  • Issue resolution turnaround time;
  • New eFX/FIX API client journey time;
  • Client satisfaction;
  • Sales/CS/Dev teams’ interaction flow;
  • Teamwork and initiative.

Requirements:

You will need to be articulate, confident and display a clear level of business acumen to deal with client problems effectively. We are looking for a result driven individual, who is highly motivated with outstanding interpersonal skills, and possesses the aptitude to work under their own initiative and deliver only the very best service levels. Your communication skills both written, and verbal will need to be of the highest calibre.

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of the English Language both written and oral;
  • Solid Math skills;
  • Ability to work well under pressure;
  • Hands on experience with trading platforms preferably MT4 and or MT5 within Finance or Capital Markets is a plus;
  • Knowledge in FIX API integration is a strong plus but is not mandatory;
  • Ability to resolve problems and incidents across multiple technology areas;
  • Extensive knowledge of principles of quality assurance, testing, planning and execution;
  • Self-motivation to work within a team environment;
  • Ability to think analytically and to troubleshoot any day to day issues;
  • Being well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Capability to take ownership of tasks and projects;
  • Willingness to work on a flexible time schedule;
  • Promotes a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude;
  • Ability to hold good working relationships with senior colleagues;
  • Ability to manage expectations;
