We are looking for a Front End Web Developer to join our London-based web development team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced developer with a flair for creating stand-out responsive user experiences. Naturally, we'll need you to have great JavaScript, React, CSS/SASS and HTML5 skills, and you need you to be familiar with, or have the capacity to learn, testing frameworks. Above all, you will be driving the development of JavaScript focused projects and ensuring a high level of technical quality in the delivery of trusted solutions, liaising with UX teams to ensure a clean, creative UX is provided to teams.

You will need to be analytical, with a strong ability to problem-solve. You will be required to work closely with the Development team and other stakeholders in the planning, development and maintenance of a growing portfolio of Kentico and WordPress CMS websites. Experience developing mobile-optimised CMS and websites an advantage.

  • Work closely with the Marketing team, in order to continuously develop the existing websites
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that the site provides content and functionality that meet the business needs of the organisation
  • Engage with creatives to provide technical feasibility
  • Develop integrations to external services and software
  • You will be expected to track and resolve any UI/UX errors
  • Produce monthly reports to the line manager.

  • Great commercial experience as a Front End Developer
  • Experience using ANGULAR JS or ANGULAR 2 an advantage
  • Strong JavaScript skills, especially ES6+
  • Strong HTML and CSS, SCSS skills
  • Good knowledge of responsive web design
  • Experience with Git or other source control systems
  • Experience with Webpack
  • CMS experience is a must, in particular WordPress – extra points for exposure to, or working with Kentico
  • Passion for agile working, working in a team orientated environment, working collaboratively.

It would also be great (but not essential) if you have:

  • Knowledge of build tools such as Gulp or Grund JS
  • Experience with writing unit tests using frameworks like Jest and Karma
  • Google Analytics, GTM and SEO knowledge

We will expect you to be an excellent collaborator, using your expertise to understand and solve user problems, challenge existing thinking, and help others on the team do the same.

We are a friendly and supportive team and sharing knowledge through peer reviews and pairing, has been, and will continue to be, key to our success.
