We are searching for a Back End Web Developer to join our London- based web development team.  In this role, you will be expected to liaise with stakeholders and developers working on different layers of our business to showcase our digital assets to global markets.

You will demonstrate depth in your development and testing approach, and will be committed to a creating a collaborative, problem-solving environment while creating quality documentation along the way.

You will need to be analytical with a strong inclination to problem-solving. You will be required to work closely with the Marketing team and other stakeholders, providing the lead in the planning, development and maintenance of a growing portfolio of Kentico and WordPress CMS websites.

 

As a Back-End Developer your responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Writing and maintaining high quality code (C#.NET)
  • Contributing to your team's product roadmap
  • Following and enforcing software best practice and processes
  • Delivering innovative solutions across the full development life cycle
  • Continually enhancing and building a deep knowledge of the product suite
  • Selecting, using and improving a broad modern technology stack.

Essential Skills and Experience:

 

  • Commercial ASP.NET web application development using C#/MVC/Web Forms and SQL Server
  • Experience developing mobile-optimised CMS and websites an advantage
  • Experience of using version control systems such as Git
  • A portfolio of website development work that demonstrates your abilities
  • Organised, self-motivated and ambitious with a desire to develop web sites supported by technically challenging back-end solutions and cutting edge front-end.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

 

  • Familiarity with the Kentico CMS platform, or another enterprise CMS such as Sitecore or Umbraco
  • Familiarity with front-end development using HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/Angular
  • Good understanding of browser compliance issues, SEO and accessibility standards
  • Good awareness of responsive UI development approaches, and a good understanding of various internet standards
  • A working understanding of Windows Server and IIS configuration
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, flexible and delivery focused.
