ThinkMarkets is seeking a data-driven Social Media Manager to join our growing Chicago office. This role will be responsible for our company social media platforms and community engagement. The Social Media Manager will also own creative content creation that captures the ThinkMarkets brand and tone for our various global markets. This individual will be a true owner and collaborator and will play a foundational role in building ThinkMarkets’ brand and managing external communication.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all social media platforms and marketing campaigns to ensure consistency of messaging across global markets (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Build brand awareness by partnering with marketing, sales, and operations team members to create quality and engaging content
  • Explore and evaluate emerging content platforms and tools to build strategies for implementing effective campaigns which drive ThinkMarkets’ communication strategy
  • Support various interactions with external media, providing counsel, messaging support and media training as needed
  • Write and edit communications materials including press releases, media alerts, thought leadership, and social media content
  • Monitor how the brand is being mentioned on social media and engage with followers by responding to public and private messages
  • Review metrics to determine the success and areas of improvement of social channels and campaigns

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, public relations, and/or communications management within the financial services or trading industry
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field
  • Data-driven mentality to ensure optimal utilization of social media platforms, as well as campaign execution
  • Experience in social media for international market(s) highly recommended
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a strong attention to detail
  • Highly collaborative – builds strong relationships internally and externally with a positive attitude
